Foods Sdn.Bhd was incorporated in 1994 and is a subsidiary
of QL Resources Berhad, a company listed in the Kuala
Lumpur Stock Exchange. It is strategically located in
Hutan Melintang, Perak, Malaysia, which is the biggest
fishing base in the country. It occupies a gross area
of about 60000 square metres and employs a workforce
of more than five hundred workers.

Foods Sdn.Bhd is the first vertically integrated surimi
manufacturer in Malaysia. We utilize the combination
of the surimi plant with a substantially automated downstream
production line to produce both surimi and surimi-based
products simultaneously.
Today,
we are one of the the largest producers and distributors
of surimi in Asia as well as the leading producer and
distributor of surimi-based products in Malaysia.
We
produce a wide range of chilled and frozen surimi-based
products such as Crab filament stick, fishball, fish
tofu and breaded fish chips packed under two brand names
i.e. 'Mushroom' and 'OceanRia'. We also produce a range
of dried surimi-based products such as dried fish fillet
and squid roll through our fish snack division.
We
achieved a turnover of USD22 million for the year 2005,
and today our daily production of surimi and surimi-based
products exceeds 60 metric tonnes.
Currently
we have customers in many countries including Singapore,
Indonesia, Australia, Mauritius, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea
as well as Canada and the United States.
